In the world of professional tennis, wins and losses are often measured by rankings and trophies. But surprisingly for Matteo Arnaldi, the story extends beyond the boundaries of the tennis court. For him, it includes rather an unexpected twist involving a Canadian rapper whom he can’t miss at any chance, whatever the result is on-court. The Italian player’s recent statements highlight a story of passion and his love not only for music but also for his girlfriend.

When the 23-year-old tennis sensation burst onto the scene of tennis in 2023, fans knew that awaiting them was a new rising star in the sport. Rightly so, a few months after his debut at the U.S. Open, Arnaldi turned heads in the tennis world with his aggressive playing style, and powerful groundstrokes at the Miami Open this year. Ranked 38th, Arnaldi’s groundbreaking victory against Denis Shapovalov was a delight to watch for the fans. But beyond the statistics of his scores, Arnaldi likes to be there for his girlfriend, Mia Savio, whose passion lies in music.

Moreover, when it is the Canadian rapper Drake’s concert, adds an extra layer of enthusiasm for her. “It was a gift for my girlfriend. She loves Drake. To be honest, I don’t like it that much, but I listen sometimes with my girlfriend. I’m not a big, big fan, but she is. Whether I won or lost [my match], I had to go, but it was nice,” Arnaldi stated.

However, Matteo Arnaldi, who finished his match against Shapovalov with a score of 6-3, 7-6, was happy that he went after winning and not losing. “I mean, I would have started to complain if I had gone there after losing!” Savio, on the other hand, happy at his boyfriend’s achievement, took the opportunity to celebrate the moment with an intriguing couple of photos on Instagram.

Captioned, “Get yourself a boyfriend who wins his match at 6 and takes you to Drake at 8,” she posted a few pictures of them enjoying the concert. However, the Miami Open is not the only time that Savio showed her support for the former world No. 35, Arnaldi. After his latest match at Roland Garros, fans saw another glimpse of a similar scenario.
