In a recent podcast, the American legend came ahead and made his feelings clear for his compatriot. While claiming him to be the best in the world, he suggested that every tournament was fun with him in it.

Jimmy Connors stands by Tiger Woods amid his withdrawal

Recently, the world of golf dealt with a major blow as Tiger Woods had to withdraw from the Genesis Invitational due to flu. However, despite his withdrawal, the tennis world came together to showcase their support for the golfing legend. In the face of Tiger Woods’ recent challenges, tennis legend Jimmy Connors came ahead and shared his thoughts towards the star.

Connors suggested that every golf tournament is more exciting with Tiger, but he also understands that no one can replace him. He also added that many great young players are stepping up, making the game interesting in their own way. Connors wants everyone to know that while Tiger’s absence is felt, these new players are doing a good job filling the excitement of the game.

“I like it better when he’s in there I mean every golf tournament is better when Tiger is in there but they certainly have a lot of great young players that have that have come up that have kind of you know, nobody’s going to replace Tiger but they certainly are filling the bill,” said Jimmy Connors in the podcast.

Thus, Jimmy Connors came ahead and suggested that Tiger Woods is certainly the greatest out there. While every tournament is fun with Woods being there, his absence would certainly be missed. However, the youngsters are doing a fantastic job and trying to come as close as they can to him.

“Tiger– I’m rooting for you– life is still ” pretty special” long after the limelight. Get it together- lots of people still care about you,” said Connors in the tweet that he made.

Thus, Jimmy Connors has been a long-time admirer of the golfing legend. Even during his tough times, he was there for him and made sure that he came back stronger than before.
