20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has many interesting interests outside of tennis, including his love for luxury yachts. Recently, he even attended the Monaco Yacht Show presented by Sunreef Yachts. What’s more, he had some quality time with 2016 F1 champion Nico Rosberg on his yacht at this event.

For other boat enthusiasts, Nadal brought his Sunreef 80 Power Catamaran Great White yacht for the show. Besides, the event’s focus was to put light on the world’s best yacht designers.

Nico Rosberg meets Rafael Nadal at the Monaco Yacht Show

Notably, both Rafael Nadal and Nico Rosberg are luxury boat partisans. Hence, it was not a surprise to see the two at the star-studded show in Monaco. Interestingly, Nadal also invited Rosberg onboard his precious boat. Afterward, the German-Finnish F1 champion uploaded their picture on social media.

He wrote, “It was great to meet you today, Rafael Nadal! Thanks for the nice chats and showing me around your boat. See you soon!”

Before the Yacht show, Nadal also participated in a team golf tournament. Surprisingly, he finished at the top individually, but their team came in second place.

Undoubtedly, the 35-year-old is making the most of his time away from tennis. He last played at the Citi Open 2021 in Washington, D.C. Moreover, he has decided to rest for the remaining 2021 season because of his foot injury. But remains hopeful of a strong comeback next year on the ATP Tour.

Rafael Nadal’s 2021 season

Despite playing at his best level, Nadal had some disappointing losses in the 2021 season. However, he managed to win the Barcelona Open and the Italian Open titles.

Furthermore, Nadal also lost to Novak Djokovic in the French Open semifinal, his most heartbreaking loss this year. After that match, his injury got exposed, and as a result, he missed the Wimbledon and U.S. Open 2021. As usual, the Spaniard tried to get back on the Tour quickly and took part in the Citi Open. Later on, he realized that his injury needed more time.

Rafa fans will have to wait for the 2022 season to see Nadal back in action. Until then, the Spaniard will be looking forward to enjoying his life outside tennis.
