Juan Martin Del Potro hung up his racket last year after a tearful goodbye. A knee injury sustained in 2018 led him to miss many events. However, the Argentine player is not able to keep away from the court. He recently announced that he is currently undergoing rehabilitation in order to step back into the sport. His coach, Duglas Cordero, recently revealed his client’s progress amidst the speculation.
Delpo is still on the active side of life. Although he is facing trouble with his knee, he hasn’t limited his movement. He even attended the Miami Grand Prix at the Hard Rock Stadium and interacted with another tennis legend at the venue.

He retired from tennis due to a knee injury which rendered him unable to play properly. However, he has started training again and making sure that his knee will encounter fewer problems.
Although he is not coming back to the court soon, Delpo is looking forward to going out with a bang in the US Open in August. To become able enough to compete at that level, he has enlisted the help of Duglas Cordero, a renowned tennis fitness coach. Cordero recently revealed the objectives the two had put forth and the status of his comeback.

Cordero told Express UK, “It’s somewhat frustrating, the problem is that he hasn’t been able to play for many years, not even train as he wanted, that frustrates and demotivates you“. The Chilean even stated that Delpo has made some progress along the way. His knee mobility has improved, and they have planned out how to add progress to his cardio activity.
