20-time Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer has been doing a lot of hard work for his return to the tour. After going through a knee surgery last year, he has been taking it slow and steady to return to full fitness. While recovering, he is also exploring the world, and trying new things.

In the meantime, a new member joined his family, which made the Swiss player really happy. Earlier, he made a social media post announcing the news to the fans.

Roger Federer welcomes Willow into his family

Federer took to Twitter and revealed that he has got a Toy Poodle and also he took a selfie with the dog. In the caption, he wrote, We gave in… But we couldn‘t be happier, Welcome to the family Willow #delfie.

According to him, the name of the dog is Willow. It’s worth noting that Federer has four children; 2 twin boys and 2 twin girls. It seems like they will have a new companion to play with.

Federer is inching closer to his comeback

A few days back, Federer’s agent, Tony Godsick, talked about his client’s burning desire to come back on the tour and give his best. “I know Roger well enough to know that he still has the flame burning. His real motivation is to come back… and try to end his career the way he wants to end it,” Godsick said about Federer’s comeback.

Previously, the Swiss Maestro posted another photo of his indoor training session in a gym. We know that Federer will make his return to Laver Cup this year, which will take place in September. It will be a good thing, as the matches will be competitive there along with entertaining. Also, he already announced that he will play in Basel, in front of his home crowd. Notably, Federer won this tournament 10 times in his career and could win 11th time this year.

However, we probably have to wait a while for his Grand Slam return. The Australian Open 2023 is most likely to be his first Grand Slam tournament since coming back from injury.
