Just a day ago, 21-year-old Jack Draper enjoyed the biggest career payday while winning the UTS Grand Final in London against Holger Rune. The 4th-ranked British tennis player made his debut and went undefeated while taking home a massive amount of prize money.
With this victory, the British player earned his biggest prize money check for a single tournament, surpassing the US Open earnings of around $284,000. While the UTS spent $546,800 in a tournament that was itself pricey, it does not have a huge margin with what the ATP came up with as their pricey layout for the year.

Moreover, there is not much difference between the numbers; the UTS definitely created a boost more than the ATP by paying the players a lot in the tournament itself. The 21-year-old British tennis player received $111,000 for his final win, a $125,000 bonus for his undefeated achievement, and $77,700 for each of his victories before the final.

In a recent interview, the 23-time Grand Slam Champion’s former coach opened up about UTS London being a male event. He stated, “Men’s tennis is bigger than women’s tennis. Because the investment is huge and we not in a position to date to run both men and women’s tour.”
Along with that, he also highlighted how, with time, they are progressing in terms of fan bases or players. Subsequently, he also emphasized the fact that he has not forgotten women, but as a business choice, it was more evidence for them to start with men’s tours. However, in the future, he also shared the hope of having two types, one for men and one for women.
