Alexander Zverev reached the finals of Open Sud de France at Montpellier but lost to Alexander Bublik 4-6, 3-6.
It was during this match with Bublik that people from Alexander Zverev’s player’s box started telling him something to which he was seen replying. This action prompted many fans and viewers to question the hypocrisy in the application of rules.

Many of the people who were raising this question claimed to be fans of the Greek tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas. Tsitsipas has often been in trouble when it comes to mid-match coaching. He was given a code violation for it, as recently as the Australian Open semi-finals, when Daniil Medvedev accused the umpire of not taking any real action.
Alexander Zverev and Tsitsipas also had problems regarding coaching last year in the Cincinnati Masters. Tsitsipas disappeared with his bag and his phone for a washroom break and his father was seen constantly texting during the time. This prompted the German World No. 3 to suspect that Apostolos was coaching.
Question : where is the warning here ? https://t.co/NfvTXoHuGW

This was Bublik’s maiden ATP Tour title, in what was his fifth tour-level final. This win will also propel him to his highest ATP ranking of 31 on Monday. He next plays wild card entrant Andy Murray at Rotterdam in the first round.
“I had four finals and the fifth final I have won against a great player,” Bublik said. “It is great. All my game [came] together. I was serving well and returned well and kept my nerve. When I had my chances, I used them.” He played some really impressive tennis against the world No. 3, serving eight aces and winning 86% of points on his first serve.

Zverev, who won the event five years ago, was hoping for his 20th ATP crown, but unfortunately, he could not follow through. He is supposed to play the 500-level tournament in Acapulco next.
