Felix defeated Miami Open champion Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets 6-3,7-5 during his opening round match at Noventi Open.
The next-gen player, who suffered yet another crumbling defeat in the Stuttgart Open finals against Marin Cilic, looks to go past the Swiss star to improve his confidence.
On the other hand, Federer will have to step-up his game against the Canadian. Felix has already proved himself to be an all-round player who rarely hesitates to come forward to the net.
Despite not winning an ATP tour title, the youngster showed the tennis world that he can produce quality tennis on any surface. This second-round encounter is the third-match scheduled on the main-court at Halle.

Federer vs Felix Auger-Aliassime – Preview & Prediction
Even though Roger Federer enters the match as a clear favorite, the Canadian will have the confidence from his previous performance at Stuttgart Open last week.
Both players have different weapons up their sleeves to use at the opportune moment. While serve remains a key tactic for the duo, successful net-play will have an impact on the match’s outcome.
It’s a surprise that both Federer and Felix didn’t meet on the ATP tour before. This fact also adds more intrigue to this contest as both the players and even fans might not know what to expect.

Just like his first-round match against Ivashka, the Swiss star can expect at least one tie-breaker against Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is a sharp server. Also, forehand is the strongest weapon at disposal for both these players.

While longer baseline exchanges aren’t expected, it will be interesting to see who makes the first move towards the net. As it’s a known fact that the Swiss Maestro likes to be aggressive right from the word go, he played from the baseline for a large portion of his opening round contest.
But, this defensive tactic could be changed by Federer when he faces the Canadian. In conclusion, it will be a battle of two explosive forehands as Felix Auger-Aliassime tries to stop the Swiss star in his pursuit of a 11th Halle Open crown.
