‘You Can’t Imagine..’ – 6ft.11in Tall American Star Looks Dreadfully Lost as He Tries His Hand at a New Sport

American tennis player Reilly Opelka many times has been at the eye of the storm while sharing his opinions. However, this time the 6’11 player is busy taking the advantage of the height, spending his time at the golfing stretch. Recently, the 25-year-old American tried his hands at a new sport. But, Opelka wasn’t quite satisfied with the result.

The passing year has been filled with ebbs and flows for the American. He won his 4th title of the career and 2nd for the year. Although the American is focused on tennis, he is certainly expanding his sphere this off-season. 

Reilly Opelka tried to create his niche at the Greens

The world no. 17 tennis player took some time off the tennis sessions and headed to the greens to try his hands on Golf. It may have been the first time that we saw Opelka with Golf clubs. But the 25-year-old was expecting to ace the 9-yards on his very first day. However, things don’t always go as you wish them to.

Consequently, the American tennis player was disappointed by his Golfing skills. He further shared with his fans in an Instagram Story, “You can’t imagine, how bad I am”

Well, nothing happens instantly. Opelka certainly needs to spend his spare time honing his golfing skills. But this would surely inspire other players and people to hold golf clubs or tennis rackets.

These two players inspired Opelka to pick tennis professionally

Earlier, the world no.17 took to Instagram to share his Inspiration for embracing tennis as a career choice. For Opelka, it wasn’t just the Williams sisters who prompted the American, but the tennis stars of the late 1970s and early 1980s- the Gullikson brothers- Timothy Gullikson and Tom Gullikson. Though Venus Williams is an inspiration to Opelka, that just added fuel to their dating rumors.

However, the Gullikson brothers remained involved in tennis, after their retirement, in the capacity of coaching. And they had been associated as coaches of former world no.1’s and even the US Olympic team.
