Sha’Carri Richardson has a huge reputation in the athletics world. After setting records in the trials for the Olympics, she was disappointed to not be allowed to compete in Tokyo. The American made a comeback in the Nike Prefontaine Classic competition in Oregon. Despite all the attention and headlines, the sprinter finished last in the race.

Drake has recently launched a new album named ‘Certified Lover Boy’ which is currently trending. Aptly, when asked about her favorite song, Richardson had a perfect reply.

It all started when American football wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr, questioned her favorite song via Twitter post. She replied with the track which features a reference to the American sprinter.

Drake released the song with his new album CLB which is hitting all the right spots. Notably, 24 hours is all it took to become Apple Music’s most-streamed album in its history. It is a 21 track album featuring artists like Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Future, Rick Ross, and Lil Baby.

Richardson needs to step up

Despite getting encouragement from Usain Bolt and Justin Gatlin, the American sprinter has drawn widespread criticisms from the sporting fraternity. After setting the sixth-fastest time in the history of the 100-meters, she is still looking to win her first race after her comeback from the ban.

Significantly, the World Anti-Doping Agency issued a ban on her for the Tokyo Olympics which caused her to miss the competition.

She hasn’t been exactly popular amongst her competitors, with various occasions of animosity between her and fellow sprinters.?Many instances have shown that fellow athletes are ignoring her after the races as well.

Hence, ‘No friends in the industry’ seems to be the perfect song for her current problems. Moreover, Drake refers to Sha’Carri in the song which she has called her favorite. The album also included references to other sporting icons like Lionel Messi and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
