Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, the Jamaican sprinter, recently opened up about her opinions towards her American competitor, Shar’Carri Richardson. Sha’Carri has developed something of a rivalry with the Jamaican trio of Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson, and Elaine Thompson-Herah. Though she hasn’t been able to perform as well on the track, Richardson has not held back off track.
Fraser-Pryce, the 34-year-old specializes in 100m and 200m events. The Jamaican trio clean swept the podium in the 100m race and were all part of the 4x100m relay gold-winning Jamaican team.

Post her historic win in Tokyo, the Jamaican backed it up with another major feat in the Diamond League in Lausanne. Beating her teammate, Elaine Thompson, she secured the first position and clocked 10.60. With this, she also became the third-fastest woman to have recorded such a remarkable time after Elaine and FloJo. Post her race, the Jamaican said, “I had a very good feeling and I’m happy to have been able to do that time“.

The nine-time world championship gold medalist added: “I continue to work well, race after race. I believed in myself and tonight I am leaving with a personal best. I knew that I was capable of it even if the wind this evening was fresh.”

What did Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce say about Sha?Carri Richardson?
Sha’Carri was touted as a serious medal hope at the Tokyo Olympics but she could not compete due to a doping related ban. In her much awaited comeback, the American could only finish 9th after a forgettable performance. Despite the disappointing results, Richardson has had a less-than-kind attitude towards the Jamaican trio.?However, Fraser-Pryce recently offered a positive comment towards the American in one of her interviews. She said, “I like her. I like her personality“.
