?I?m proud and happy to be a part of that history. I?ve seen it done before I think in 2008, where they had done it before, so for me to be a part of this trio, I?m so happy to know that 10 years later I can look back and say that?s me I was a part of that history. So I guess it?s because of our culture and entertainment and sports, we tend to always try to be on the top?, Thompson was quoted saying by Sports Rational.

She also went on to say about how Usain Bolt has done so much for the country of Jamaica, leaving a significant mark on the younger generation, leading them on the right path, and making sure they feel proud to raise the flag.?

?Usain Bolt has done it so we just want our little small country to always be in that name call and for us as a country to raise that flag and to carry that is a good feeling and only relieve that mark for the younger generations to come so we can when we hold and retire to watch, we can say okay they?re leading the path just like we left for them to do,? Elaine added.
