British manufacturer Aston Martin have officially revealed that they have designs for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of their magnum opii, the Aston Martin Valkyrie will be making its official debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 2021 season.
The Valkyrie boasts of a 1.6 liter V12 Cosworth engine with 1160 hp and a KERS hybrid battery system from Rimac. The production and design of the car was overseen by Red Bull technical guru, Adrian Newey and it was his brainchild.
Aston Martin confirmed their participation with this tweet.

Up until 2013, the British manufacturer had been running with the Vantage GT2 model. So, in other words, the manufacturer will return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans after nearly a decade.
