As the Australian Open is beginning on Monday, fans are treated to some amazing display of tennis at the WTA Melbourne 500 event. The tournament has reached its decider, with the final to be played between the World No. 1 and Australia’s Ashleigh Barty and the two-time Grand Slam winner Garbine Muguruza. The final will take place tomorrow.
Both Ashleigh Barty and Garbine Muguruza have come this far after performing well in the earlier rounds. The Australian superstar got a walkover, Serena Williams, in the previous round as her opponent suffered a shoulder injury. On the other hand, the Spaniard thrashed her opponent and handed her just one game in the entire match.
