The most awaited series, the Ashes 2019 have been going on between the arch-rivals England and Australia at Edgbaston, Birmingham. However, alongside Steve Smith‘s twin centuries, Stuart Broad’s stunning bowling and Matthew Wade’s century, umpiring errors have also made headlines. Both the umpires Joel Wilson and Aleem Dar has made several wrong judgements throughout the series. Where Dar has 5, Wilson took 10 wrong decision.
On Day 5 of the first Ashes, Joel Wilson’s first wrong decision came when England Test captain Joe Root was given leg before in the 13th over of England’s second innings. However, Joe Root immediately reviewed the decision where replays showed that James Pattinson’s delivery was going down the leg side and he was not dismissed.
OVERTURNED!
That's incorrect decision number 10 for Umpire Joel Wilson – this time he's missed a massive inside edge from Joe Root off the bowling of Peter Siddle – no LBW.

In the 17th over, Joe Root was again adjudged leg before by Joel Wilson off Peter Siddle ‘s bowling and yet again the England captain asked for DRS. The replays showed that Root got a big inside edge. With this error, he made 10 wrong decisions in the first Test of Ashes 2019. Surprisingly, Joel Wilson has recently added to the ICC Elite Panel for umpires.
On the other hand, England bowler Jofra Archer has a Tweet on this too like the other things. He has certainly become more popular for his prediction over things from much before which resemble the current situation. He tweeted, “Joel Wilson retire after today” three years ago which fans have found today and started sharing on Twitter.

Even not only this, Wilson made wrong decisions with Joe Root before too when he was given out for caught behind and replays showed that the ball actually touched the stumps, but the bails did not fall. Joe Root, although, did not score big at that time.
Ahead of that, during the Australian innings, Usman Khwaja and Mathew Wade would have lost the wickets off Chris Woakes if only a review was taken, while James Pattinson left the crease without taking a review to the decision.
After his second review today, ex-England Test captain Michael Vaughan had shared on Twitter, “When Joel Wilson gives you OUT .. You just review it .. #Fact #Ashes”

Twitterati made fun of Joe Wilson and started tweeting hilarious Tweets.
Joe Wilson’s “You lie!” was the canary in the new coal mine. There’s never been a dormant period in institutional American racism. But a congressman yelling that during the state of the union address was the first major permission for white supremacy’s current public resurgence.

#15 — And in under 20 minutes, Umpire Wilson takes a bigger lead.
Root again. An LBW again. This time overturned by an inside edge. Okay, it's getting into a sorry feeling now ..
