Some seasons ago, it wouldn’t have turned as many heads as the result does today. At the bottom half of the table, Chelsea has managed to defeat Arsenal at the Emirates, owing their 3 points to a goal from Diego Costa. This loss might as well be a pebble which can trip Arsenal away from their title hopes. While the rivalry between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger was missed today, the Blues did manage to earn very crucial points for themselves.
The game never looked going the Gunners way. Reduced to 10 men in just 18 minutes, it was always hard for them to recover. Costa’s goal soon after was another nail in the coffin which left their gap in the defence apparent, after Per Mertesacker was sent off. Arsenal fans would certainly not be happy with the way the game turned out to be, but their position at the top of the table is light years away from Chelsea, at the moment.

My sources tell me that Jose Mourinho has written a six-page letter to Arsenal consisting entirely of Arsene Wenger insults.
