The Game Awards, often dubbed as the ‘Oscars’ of the gaming community, concluded recently. Various games won awards under different categories. The Last of Us II was the biggest winner, bagging 7 awards in 10 nominations. Many developers also took the stage to premiere major updates and announcements for their games.

One of the biggest announcements made in the awards came from Studio Wildcard. Home to the open-world dinosaur survival game ARK: Survival Evolved, the studio revealed the cinematic trailer for their upcoming title. Apart from the huge announcement, the trailer also had something bigger in store for fans.

After major celebrities like Keanu Reeves and Conor McGregor have featured in games in the recent times, ARK II also introduces a popular Hollywood actor playing the lead role. While many have seen him as Dominic Toretto in the Fast and the Furious franchise, he was also critically acclaimed for his work as Xander Cage in the xXx franchise.

The dinosaur survival game just got bigger and better. The trailer displayed a much better graphic performance and improved fighting sequences. Hollywood star Vin Diesel will play the role of Santiago in the upcoming game.

Apart from the sequel to the previous game, Studio Wildcard is also releasing an animated series based on the game. According to a tweet by ARK, the animated series will feature voiceovers by more Hollywood celebrities, including Vin. These stars include Michelle Yeoh, Jeffrey Wright, Elliot Page, Russell Crowe, Gerald Butler, and more.

The developers have a lot more in store for their fans. They will release more details on the upcoming game as well as the animated series tomorrow. ARK II celebrates the arrival of the latest consoles by Microsoft and Sony. It plans to use the high performance hardware of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in order to deliver an enhanced performance to fans.
