Ways to traverse Olympus’ vast landscape

To traverse Olympus’ expansive locations, Respawn has introduced the Trident vehicle, spawning in specific areas on the new map’s outskirts. Designed to facilitate broad rotations, especially during the early game, it is a three-seater hovercraft. Since Respawn didn’t intend the Trident for combat, players cannot run their opponents over with it.

However, players can install certain legends’ tactical abilities onto the front or rear of the vehicle. Those tactics include placing Caustic’s Nox Gas Traps, Rampart’s Sheila minigun, Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection, etc. Meanwhile, Arc Stars or Wattson’s fences can render the vehicle immobile momentarily.

The hovercar also comes equipped with a boost feature. Using this feature can increase speed for a short duration. It can also help players overcome obstacles if they time the boost with the jump ramps spread throughout the map.

There is another important thing to note. If a player accidentally drives the Trident off the map, Respawn has a safety net in place to launch players into the sky. After that, they can safely land back onto Olympus.

Last but not least is the innovative feature called Phase Runner. Respawn defines it as an industrial-sized phase portal connecting three distinct areas of Olympus. Hopping onto this static portal will teleport players to and from specific locations. However, one must not let their guard down while using it to get over to the map’s other side.
