Respawn Entertainment has established that Apex Legends season five will kick off on May 12, a week later than May 5, as planned initially. The developer devised the arrangement to push back the upcoming season as a way to offer players some extra time to grind out their battle passes or reach their intended Ranked goal.

The information was provided by an official blog post in which Design Director for Apex Legends, Jason McCord, also confirmed the plans for concluding Season 4 with a brand new Battle Armor LTM (Limited Time Mode.) He mentioned the Battle Armor LTM is the beginning of Respawn’s experiments with the core gameplay.

The LTM will take place from April 28 through May 12 and will have four phases. Players will spawn in with armors and P2020 pistol during the Battle Armor event. The level of armors will progressively increase as the LTM approaches its later stages. All other shields will be unavailable on the map as a result of the LTM.
