Apex Legends Season 5 launched in May, and it brought an array of exciting additions and changes. While the update introduced us to Loba and the first-ever season quest, it also made some interesting changes to the terrain of Kings Canyon. Skull Town and Thunderdome gave way to a new POI called Salvage. Consequently, players noticed several loot bunkers spread across the map.
The bunkers, beneath the map, are accessible through the hatches on the ground surface, which are currently locked. One of those bunkers, located between Water Treatment and Broken Coast South region, is approachable from the edge of a cliff. One has to jump in from the dropship precisely, and then the hatch can be unlocked from inside.
However, information has emerged that suggests the hatches will gradually open, granting players access to the loot bunkers. Credible Apex Legends data miner, Shrugtal, has revealed the release dates, and other details about each bunker.

The loot bunkers in Apex Legends will open soon
On June 5, Shrugtal tweeted out the data mined information.
“Big one today. Loot bunker map with release dates, names, and big ticket loot spawns,” he wrote.
He has provided the names and locations of the four bunkers in Kings Canyon. Those are Terminal Station F-85, Terminal Station W-73, Terminal Station O-240, and Terminal Station L-19.
The data miner also revealed the potential dates on which the bunkers would open. According to him, each bunker has two dates, “start to open” and “ready to enter”, meaning it could take up to a week for each one to open entirely.
The first bunker has a potential time frame of June 16-23. For the second one, it is June 23-30 and June 30-July 7 for the third. Finally, the last one will start opening on July 7 and will be ready to access on July 14.

Although Shrugtal is renowned in the field of data mining in Apex, ultimately, it is up to Respawn Entertainment to incorporate changes. For now, the developer has not confirmed the upcoming sequence of events.
