Based on what we know about Apex Legends Season 7 so far, it is going to be one of the most promising seasons since the game’s inception. The update will release a brand new map, a social feature called Clubs, and even Apex’s first vehicle. Alongside these features, many more balancing changes will arrive with the upcoming season.

So far, we have seen very little of how the game’s meta will change, especially with the legend and weapon meta balancing. Therefore, Sethly has featured some buffs and nerfs to legends and weapons that are likely coming with season seven’s launch. Respawn has not officially confirmed these changes yet, but the information comes from iLootGames, who talked to some content creators who play-tested Apex Legends Season 7.
Potential buffs for Mirage, Bangalore, Pathfinder, and Loba in Apex Legends Season 7
Mirage
Like every other season, this chapter of Apex will also bring quite a few Legend buffs, starting with Mirage. A buff to the Holographic Trickster’s decoys will make each of them have 40 HP now. Not only will it take longer for the clones to go away, but differentiating between the real Mirage and his decoys will become harder. Besides having 40 health now, apparently, the decoys won’t show normal damage numbers and hit marker.
Bangalore
Next up, Bangalore is finally getting some love with a potential buff. She’s always been the most consistent Legend in Apex and has never received a buff or nerf, practically. With that said, the supposed Season 7 buff will make her ultimate’s missiles detonate faster after hitting the ground. Currently, on activating Bangalore’s ultimate ability, it usually takes quite some time to start raining missiles in the designated area.
Pathfinder
Meanwhile, a Season 5 nerf saw the cooldown on Pathfinder’s grapple increased from 15 seconds to 35 seconds. Recently, Respawn made improvements to the robot, making his grapple’s cooldown based on the distance traveled with it. However, since the updated cooldown doesn’t start until the player stops moving and loses momentum, it ended up making the cooldown have a chance of being over 40 seconds.
Now, in Season 7, it looks like the devs have made a fix for that issue, making the grapple cooldown have a maximum cap of 30 seconds. Although it is only 5 seconds less than before, combined with the varying cooldown times based on distance, the new system could become pretty efficient.
Loba
Finally, one of the weakest legends in the game currently, Loba, should also receive a buff. This buff will give the teleporting thief the ability to use her ultimate to gather as much ammo as possible without taking up the two specified slots. Apart from grabbing two loot items, the player can take as much ammo as they need. While it might not seem like a significant change, it’s definitely going to make a big difference as Loba is Apex’s loot character.

Weapon changes in Apex’s upcoming season and details about the Trident hovercar
The season seven update will remove the R-99 SMG from airdrops, adding the weapon back to the ground loot pool. The Hemlock AR will reportedly take the SMG’s place in the Care Packages. Besides that, players can expect a significant buff to the L-Star, since it currently is one of the least useful weapons in the game. At this moment, it is unknown what exactly the changes made to the L-Star will be.

Season seven will introduce a hovercraft vehicle to the brand new Olympus map, making it convenient to traverse the vast landscape. A senior level designer for Apex Legends shared some more details of how the vehicle will work. Only squad members can ride the Trident at the same time, and damage to the vehicle is spread evenly among passengers unless aimed directly at a player. Also, one cannot run people over with the vehicle.
Season 7, dubbed Ascension, is possibly the biggest season of Apex Legends since its inception. Ascension goes live on November 4, alongside Apex’s debut on Steam.
