So far, Apex Legends Season 6 has been nothing short of successful, and Respawn is further taking it up a notch. While September Soiree made sure players didn’t miss out on the action, the month of October is here to expand Apex’s horizons. After a long wait and lots of speculations, the highly anticipated Aftermarket event will finally go live next week.
Respawn announced in a tweet that the Aftermarket Collection Event will hit the servers on October 6, alongside cross-play beta and a brand new limited-time mode called Flashpoint. Back in June, after Respawn promised to implement cross-platform play in Apex, it instantly became the talk of the town. Players had long requested cross-play, and they will soon get the chance to test the much-awaited feature in beta release.
Get revved up for the Aftermarket Collection Event. Take part in the cross-play beta, dive into the new “Flashpoint” LTM, take on challenges to earn exclusive rewards, and more! It’s going to be a hell of a ride! 😎

The Aftermarket Collection Event has a lot of exciting content to offer. The all-new LTM, Flashpoint, intends to change the player’s perception of healing and alter how they navigate the map. Besides that, the update will bring a range of Aftermarket event-limited cosmetics and challenges for unlocking exclusive rewards.

A brand new LTM in Apex Legends
The cornerstone of the new game mode are Flash Points, massive zones encompassing locations in Kings Canyon. Flash Points are essential as they will regenerate player health and shields over time, getting them healed properly and ready for combat. This mode changes how players heal as no healing items will spawn on the map, making the Flash Points crucial for staying alive. Hence the name Flashpoint.
Players coming across multiple squads at once will result in massive gunfights and intense combat. Systems Designer on Apex Legends, Mark Yampolsky says the LTM will bring the feeling of a team deathmatch to the game. At the same time, the health regeneration dynamic will evoke memories of fan-favorite FPS titles.
Furthermore, the ring in this mode never stops closing, similar to that in Always Be Closing. Also, the ring will always shrink on a Flash Point, spicing up the fights in the end game further. Meanwhile, players will be able to craft Phoenix Kits at Crafting Replicators, although for a price.
Aftermarket event-limited cosmetics and other rewards
A set of 24 themed, limited-time cosmetics will arrive at the store with the Aftermarket Collection Event. Throughout the event, all these items will be available in Event Apex Packs and also through directly purchasing Apex Coins or Crafting Metals.

Each Event Pack will contain one event item and two non-event items, with different drop rates for each item type. EA’s blog provides a glimpse at the legendary skins for Octane, Gibraltar, and Revenant. Moreover, it looks like Caustic is finally getting his heirloom in the event.
Other than that, Special Offer Bundles will bring a mix of Event Cosmetics and Event Packs at a discount rate. Players will also get the opportunity to grab a variety of rare skins and charms for 500 Apex Coins throughout the event.

Last but not least, the event will introduce daily challenges to complete and earn exclusive cosmetic items. These challenges will accumulate with the battle pass so players can complete both simultaneously.
Overall, collection events have become a salient feature of Apex Legends, and fans can expect no less from the Aftermarket event on October 6.
