This is the brainchild of Caleb Betten, the coach of the Ankeny High School. Betten realized that cheerleading in the college scenario is impeded by a lot of hindrances, that restrict students from showcasing their abilities to college scouts. And once he could put his finger on what the exact problem was, he figured out a solution to it. And this is it. It’s like a job fair but with a lot more fun.

He looks forward to maximizing the opportunities for the student athletes propelling them to move onto the next level of demonstrating their athletic prowess and connecting with the local colleges. The event will be endowing the students with the opportunity to exhibit their cheerleading skills in full spectrum.

In an interview with KCCI, Betten shared his point of view, “We’re not a sport that has stats, right? So for the combine itself, it’s a good opportunity for all the athletes to show every kind of skill that they have.”
