New DIY recipes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Some of the new DIY recipes are very cool and will go amazingly well with some players’ island aesthetics. These new cooking DIY recipes are gaining the most attention from the community, andou can eat them, gift them to your villagers, and most importantly, display them to show off your chef talent.
Interestingly, you can learn to cook recipes through the recipe bottles on the shore of your island. And there’s another way to do it too. Another great way is to stalk your villagers while cooking and receive the DIY recipe. Surprisingly, some recipes can only be learned at specific times of the year, like you can learn the Spooky Cookies in the month of October only. And last but not the least, you can find some cooking DIY recipes while fishing.
Other than the cooking DIY recipes, Nintendo has also introduced new DIY recipes for furniture. In order to craft new furniture, you will have to first collect unique materials. Interestingly, most of the new furniture recipes require glowing moss and vines as materials which you can only find at Kapp’n tour if you haven’t purchased the expansion pack. Therefore, it would be best to collect as many glowing moss and vines as possible when you get the chance in the future.

Unfortunately, some features are only locked for expansion pack users, like pillars and counters. Players who purchase the paid DLC, Happy Home Paradise, can learn them as it is a part of the storyline.
Moreover, Nintendo has also released some brand new recipes for tools with the 2.0 update. Players can now customize new types of normal ladders on their island with the help of Ladder-Kit. You can purchase the Ladder St-Up Kit from Nook’s Cranny for 2,400 bells.
