Should you restart your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Nintendo developed New Horizons so that users can build their dream world in the game. Developers introduced a lot of things that remind players of their regular life and attract them. Interestingly, with the new update, Nintendo is introducing tons of exciting items that are making players question their island’s existence.
However, before deleting your all progress and restarting your island, you must keep these things in mind. First, you must consider working your best to claim at least a three-star rating again. Next, you have to upgrade the museum so that you can enjoy the Brewster company right after the update drops.
Moreover, you must consider how much time-consuming it will be to catch various bugs, fish, and sea creatures on the island. Not to mention, each player must have a bunch of bells in their collection to get faster access to new features. For example, to visit popular characters from previous titles, users will have to spend their bells so that they can open their store on Harv’s Island.

In addition to that, buying new furnishers or DIY recipes, upgrading storage, and much more will consume a lot of bells. Since there are only a few days left for the update launch, not all the players will be able to restart their island with proper planning.
Thus, it would be best to give up on restarting your island. However, you can try to flatten your island and remove everything on the surface so that you can build your island back from scratch. This option seems more reasonable and will not harm your in-game progress. What are your plans for the 2.0 update? Let us know in the comments down below.
