Ever since Animal Crossing New Horizons released last year, the game has received consistent updates. These patches add new content, such as items, shops, and even new villagers. These villager NPCs are some of the most important components in the Nintendo title because they often provide players with trades, quests and many more.

As new updates introduce more of these characters, the older NPCs start losing importance because of the lack of quests and tasks. These are some of the iconic villagers that players have left behind.

Iconic villagers players have forgotten in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Redd, the cunning fox

Redd was the highlight of the game for a long time in New Horizons. The character runs his own black market out of an old fishing boat on the secret beach. Players often got to buy paintings that were usually real, but he can occasionally sell fakes as well. But as time passed, his use became much less for fans and they don’t seek him out anymore. Hopefully, the developers can add new quests to make him more useful.

Pascal, the cute sea otter in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Pascal wasn’t part of the game when it released, but he returned to the franchise in the Summer update last year. The character never had a massive following because his only use was trading scallops for the Mermaid set DIY recipes. Other than that, he has never had a major role for players to seek him all the time. The cute otter has a lot of potential with trades of items from new DIY sets that developers can introduce.

Label, the third Able sister

While Mabel and Sable have become one of the more important villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons, the middle sister has been slacking heavily. After completing the quests which unlocked 12 new clothing items for players, Label will almost become useless in the game. Her tickets are some of the least valuable items in the game, and developers need to upgrade her as soon as possible.

K.K Slider, the maestro musician

For months, DJ K.K, the dog musician, was one of the coolest specialist villagers visiting the plaza every week. Players loved to get music from him whenever he used to play his popular tunes. But now, fans don’t even feel his presence on the plaza until he plays his soothing songs, which they can find on any stereo. With the addition of some quests, K.K can find his mojo once again.

Wisp, the adorable spirt

The character of Wisp introduced a very interesting concept of combining the spirit’s five pieces to get a reward. At the start, the character always gave wonderful prizes for completing the challenge, but nowadays the prizes aren’t worth the hassle. With new exclusive items, players can complete challenges for this adorable spirit.
