Nintendo removed one upgrading step of the museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The museum is the most upgradable building in New Horizons. Interestingly, it has more upgrades than Nook’s Cranny, unlike any other title in the series. However, it looks like Nintendo removed one of the museum upgrades in the 2.0 update.

According to Crossing Channel YouTube, one of their fellow content creators found out after upgrading the tent version of the museum. As they upgraded the tent to the building, it included the art gallery rather than the brown version before the 2.0 update. This means Nintendo has removed one of the upgrading steps of the museum.

Thus, now you won’t be able to meet Red and unlock the art gallery later. Although several players thought it’s a glitch but Nintendo introduced this change so that upgrading different stages of museums will be easy in the future. It’s mainly because developers just introduced a new section at the museum called the Roost.

Therefore, before players start complaining of not being able to unlock it soon as others, they decided to remove one of the upgrading steps. Although it seems quite convenient for newcomers not to get forced to donate enough to unlock the art gallery, it also means they won’t be able to see the brown museum version ever in the game.

Furthermore, several users liked this brown version of the museum. Thus, they got pretty unhappy after removing it from the game. What are your thoughts on Nintendo’s decision? Let us know in the comments down below.
