Animal Crossing: New Horizons has added tons of changes after the 2.0 update. Furthermore, developers also included some villagers’ updates in the recent update. Although the entire Animal Crossing series mostly revolves around the villagers, New Horizons players don’t have a big fond of the in-game villagers.
It’s mainly because there are very few dialogues for island residents; this makes them plain and boring. Thus, many users decided to avoid daily interactions with them. However, after the 2.0 update launch, Nintendo added more dialogues as well as villagers in ACNH. In addition to that, it also introduced some popular characters from past titles.

New creepy villagers’ update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Nintendo has developed New Horizons in such a way that users can relate it to their actual life. It wanted them to think villagers like real-life people with different emotions. Therefore, developers included several characters with distinct personalities representing themselves emotionally and mentally.
There are Cranky, Jock, Lazy, and Smug, which are male villager personalities, and Snooty, Peppy, Normal, and Sisterly, which are female personalities. Most players only like to invite characters whose personalities match them in real life. However, because of the lack of villagers’ dialogue, they eventually get bored with them.
Recently, Approaching-Infinity (Reddit user), discovered a creepy dialogue from their villager. The villager said,” And then waited for my arms to heal. Did you know that no one can hear me scream from my basement?” Indeed, it’s a very spine-chilling comment coming from an NPC. This news took the internet by storm and many users shared their opinions.
