Is time travel worth it in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
In New Horizons, players get event-exclusive items by logging in daily in the specific given time. Players have to visit Nook Cranny or Able Sisters to get the specific item. However, logging in daily could be troublesome for some. Therefore, they decide to change their date time and region on their Nintendo Switch.
This helps them to log in the following day and get that specific item. With this, players can get all items they wanted in just a single day. They can even travel back by changing the date. In case anyone was not able to get the item, they can use this trick to get it later as well.
However, you can’t travel back or in the future after the event duration ends. If the event ends, you can’t collect all items you missed earlier.

Interestingly, sometimes Nintendo locks specified days so that all players can enjoy it on the same day. Nintendo recently locked the sixth and final day of Bunny Day event, so that all players could end it at the same time.
Unfortunately, some players took this method to a new extent due to which Nintendo had to make some changes. They leaked many upcoming contents and surprises that developers planned for the users at the end of the event. As a result, Nintendo decided to make some changes and now players can’t log in into the future and almost every date after the ongoing event is locked.

Therefore, if you want to collect all items on the first day of release, then using time travel is a substantial choice for you. However, if you like to discover each content and like to live a life full of surprises, then showing some patience and not using time travel is the best choice.
