Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally receiving a well-deserved major update in November. Nintendo neglected players’ complaints throughout the year to the point that it made them feel frustrated. As a result, a lot of them quit the game. Regardless, users are now very excited to see their favorite character, Brewster, returning to New Horizons.
However, all these features are planned for November; thus, some players are wondering if October will have little in the way of content It’s true that we might not see any big changes in October other than the ACNH Direct. That said, Nintendo has made a post announcing this year’s Halloween event will see some changes.

Upcoming October Updates in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Halloween Changes
Nintendo confirmed that it will add new Halloween items for players to enjoy this year. Although these items were already datamined, it’s the first time Nintendo is announcing them officially.
Interestingly, developers even confirmed that players only need version 1.11.1 to take part in the event, and 1.11.1 is already the current version of the game. This means Nintendo will not release any other update to trigger the event. Nintendo has time-locked the Halloween event and players can’t get early access to it, therefore they might have to wait till the end of October to take part in the event.
October- November Seasonal events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo confirmed we will see the Day of the Dead Seasonal event in October. It will be the only seasonal event for the entire October and will last from October 25 to November 3. It will offer players a special event-exclusive item called Marigold Decoration items.
Unlike October, players will experience two seasonal events in November. It includes the Lantern Festival event lasting from November 1 to November 11 and the Shichi-Go-San event, November 11 to November 20. Players could get their hands-on Handheld Lantern items and Chitose Ame items by taking part in these events, respectively.

October might not bring a lot of changes to the table, but it will be enough to keep players excited for the November update. Moreover, Nintendo will announce something big in the upcoming ACNH Direct, so stay tuned for that.
