New fruits coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo will introduce a new feature where players can grow the latest crops on their island. These include tomatoes, wheat, sugarcane, potatoes, and carrots, and more. Several players are wondering whether they will also see more fruits with the upcoming update which was not revealed in the Direct.

Interestingly, many fruits are also missing from New Horizons, that were available in past titles. In the Direct, we saw Kapp’n taking players on his boat to explore new mysterious islands. Although Nintendo didn’t reveal any information to collect fruits from new mysterious islands, there is some evidence indicating their arrival in the next update.

We can expect four types of fruits coming in the next update; these are bananas, lemons, mangoes, and durian. Players can also notice some images of lemons on upcoming DIY cooking recipes. This proves that players might need lemons to cook these certain dishes. Other than that, we can also spot a chart in New Horizons featuring nine types of vegetables and fruits.

These are peaches, apples, pears, bananas, tomatoes, oranges, lemons, wheat, and carrot. Out of these nine, only bananas and lemons are the only edibles not available in New Horizons. Furthermore, Nintendo recently added tomatoes, wheat, and carrots to the game, leaving behind the possibility of adding others in the future or secretly with the upcoming update.

Therefore, considering the aforementioned assumptions, we might see new fruits exclusive to Kapp’n mysterious islands. Do you want to grow new types of fruits on your island? Let us know in the comments down below.
