Major predictions for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct
K.K. Slider
In case you have started your Animal Crossing journey with New Horizons, you might not know that the Roost was also a place for K.K. Slider concerts. In New Horizons, we see K.K. Slider performing at the Plaza; however, K.K. Slider has a long history at the Roost. Therefore, we can definitely expect him to move from Plaza to the cafe after the arrival of Brewster.
Furthermore, we can expect the Roost to be a busy place just like in New Leaf. Thus, we may see a lot of special characters like Isabelle and returning characters such as Pelly and Phyllis frequently visiting the cafe.
Gyroids returning to Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Gyroids are another popular decorative item from past titles that are missing from New Horizons. These are decorative items in the Animal Crossing series with arms and faces. With the release of Gyroids, players might encounter a lot of rainy days on their island as they can only dig them up after rainy days; hence, we might encounter a few weather changes in the upcoming update.
Not to mention Gyroids have a special spot in Brewster’s heart in every previous title. Therefore, we might encounter some similar features like Brewster theme Gyroids or some special space to store Gyroids in the upcoming update.
Nook’s Cranny Upgrade
Nook’s Cranny has been an important part of New Horizons, and many players buy items from the store. Unlike previous titles, Nook’s Cranny does not have more upgrade options. In the past, Nook’s Cranny had over three to four-level upgrades; moreover, players can spot some space around the store which is sufficient to make the model of the building larger.
Thus, it’s the best time for Nintendo to let players upgrade Nook’s Cranny to the second floor. Surprisingly, we might also see Leaf and Gracie joining the New Horizons’ universe with this upgrade.
Katrina and fortune-telling feature returning to Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Brewster and the Roost were some of the popular datamined features that got confirmed in the Nintendo Direct. Therefore, we can expect some similar datamine features to get announced in the upcoming Direct. One of the most anticipated features was fortune-telling coming back to New Horizons.
Katrina has played an important role in every title of the Animal Crossing series; however, she is not the major highlight of New Horizons. In Horizons, she is a part of the Nintendo Switch Online app and provides daily fortune by earning Nook Points. Recently, some new luck mechanics were datamined, leading to a possibility for Katrina to play a bigger role in ACNH by visiting players’ islands.
