The latest recreation to make this list is undoubtedly the most unexpected too. Lil Nas X recently released the music video for his hit song, Montero, which revolves around him chasing the devil. It contains several scary visuals and ended up making a lot of fans uncomfortable.

Surprisingly, some Animal Crossing players have recreated the music video for Montero in the game. It not only depicts Lil Nas X himself, but other characters from the video too.

Lil has X shares the Animal Crossing: New Horizons music video for his song

A viral Tik-Tok showcased certain Animal Crossing characters dancing to Lil Nas X’s Montero. It began with the player creating a Montero design that even includeed horns.

Soon after, the protagonist alongside other villagers could be seen twerking in front of a terrifying background. In the end, Lil Nas X posed with the devil in some snapshots, which largely resembles the actual music video.

The villagers in Animal Crossing games are popular for their sweet and caring personas. Naturally, watching them performing in a song like Montero astonished fans around the world.

Lil Nas X has a long history with the gaming industry

Lil Nas X leaves no opportunity to promote his music through games. Soon after Montero’s release, he released his own game named Twerk Hero where the players have to test their twerking skills.

The American singer had also performed previously on Roblox. Over 33 million people witnessed his visual concert, which was a much larger audience than Travis Scott’s performance in Fortnite.

All in all, it was great to see how players could portray the cute Animal Crossing: New Horizons villagers twerking in an environment similar to hell. It is safe to assume that more creators will now follow Lil Nas X’s lead and promote their music with the help of popular games.
