18 New Villagers arriving in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
4 returning characters
Developers will introduce four old characters from Animal Crossing (2001) developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. These characters are Ace, Zoe, Rio, and Frett. Players who are a fan of Animal Crossing GameCube version can finally enjoy their old favorite characters company in New Horizons.
All these characters haven’t made their appearance in any past title since their release in Animal Crossing (2001). Users can try to invite them to their island through mysterious islands or their amiibo figures.
14 New Villagers arriving in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Nintendo will release 14 new villagers for New Horizons, including two new NPCs. Furthermore, these villagers will be available from their amiibo cards, which will go on sale on November 5.

Naturally, the amiibo series 5 will be in huge demand; thus, it would be better to check with your local retailer beforehand. There’s no guarantee that players won’t get upset like in the past when Sanrio amiibo cards were released. Interestingly, Target will release the amiibo series 5 before its actual release; therefore, you may get your hands on the cards early than others.
