Recently, Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian have invested in bitcoin rewards start-up, Lolli. It is a new venture and is headed by Alex Adelman. One of the prime agendas is to create this organization is to revive the manner in which consumers receive cashback on their investments. Last month, the company announced an invested $5 million through Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six venture capital fund, and with Serena Williams’ Serena ventures. There are a few YouTubers who have contributed too.
Bitcoin is generally described as a cryptocurrency. It is money but virtual at the same time. It is like a digital version of money. An individual can use it to make purchases but there are not many stores that accept this mode of currency. In fact, there are some nations that have issued a ban on it.
Coming to tennis, Williams began her season at the exhibition event ‘A Day at the Drive’ in Adelaide. During the event, she beat Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka. In the following week, she competed at the WTA Melbourne Open. After winning the initial matches, she decided to skip her semifinal match due to a right shoulder injury.

In order to compete at the Australian Open, Williams made a wise decision to not further worsen the injury. As the first Grand Slam of the season commenced, Serena sailed through the early rounds with ease. However, she lost in the semifinal to eventual champion Naomi Osaka.

Since then, the American star has not featured in any tournament. She was due to compete at the Miami Open but pulled out due to oral surgery she underwent in recent days. However, she intends to resume her season at the WTA Italian Open, which begins later in May.
