Alexander Zverev has played brilliantly in the 2020 season so far. After recently winning two tournaments at the ATP Cologne event, the World No.7 is ready to face the World No.5 Daniil Medvedev in the finals of the Paris Masters 2020. For his terrific and consistent form, the German player has credited his coach and former World No.3 David Ferrer.
Zverev hired Ferrer as his coach during the long-break due to the coronavirus pandemic. After that, Ferrer helped him to reach his maiden Grand Slam final at the US Open 2020. After defeating Rafael Nadal in the semis of the Paris Bercy, Zverev acknowledged the importance of Ferrer in his life.
“Obviously I’m very happy with my winning streak. I think the biggest influence was the practice we did during the break that we had because of Covid,” said Zverev before the finals.
