Mcgregor’s coach John Cavanagh has already said that Frankie Edgar would make sense for Mcgregor’s much-awaited return. When asked about that match up, Volkanovski liked the chances of McGregor. He said:
“I think he(McGregor) can(beat Frankie Edgar). I got a lot of respect for Frankie but obviously, I still think Conor could find the chin. That’s all that needs. he only needs one shot. So it definitely can happen. But again we will see what happens.”

A fight between McGregor and Volkanovski is very unlikely to happen even if Volkanovski gets a win over Max Holloway. Nevertheless, Volkanovski will certainly put the featherweight title on the line against McGregor after the Holloway fight.Volkanovski said:
“Let him(Mcgregor) fight someone. I will have the belt. And I am the man on the top. If he really wants that I will take him out as well.”
Alexander Volkanovski is going to face arguably the best featherweight in UFC history, Max Holloway who has been unbeaten for years in featherweight division in UFC 245.
