Hendrick Motorsports No.48 took a heavy toll on his NASCAR Cup Series while exploring his passion for dirt car racing in 2023. In what looked like a routine car flip,  Alex Bowman suffered a fractured vertebra and missed out on three crucial points races in the Cup Series for his team HMS. Even after his return, he looked a mere shadow of himself and eventually missed out on the playoffs for the first time with HMS.

With this fatal incident and a major setback he incurred last season, Bowman will have to wait to chase his passion for dirt racing. While Bowman has taken time out from dirt racing, for now, some clickbait posts were floating online, suggesting that Bowman has quit dirt racing. And the 30-year-old is here to put an end to them all.

Addressing this issue, Bowman has now come out to say that he won’t be quitting dirt car racing. In fact, the HMS driver is planning to race in the Outlaw tour once he is done with his Cup racing career. Speaking on the DIRTRACKR YouTube channel, explained the very reason why he will continue with his love for dirt car racing. Bowman said, “I saw some clickbait Twitter posts the other day that I’m quitting dirt racing. And it’s like the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard. Like I’m not quitting(…) I love dirt racing and I think the crossover is definitely big. As soon as I’m done with Cup racing, I would love to do the Outlaw Tour.”
