Practice got underway at the Hungaroring in very damp conditions and it still caught out a number of drivers. In FP1, Max Verstappen, the two Racing Points and a few other drivers spun while the track was bone dry. In FP2, though, the heavens opened and Alex Albon succumbed.
The Thai driver dropped a wheel on the grass before spinning and crashing before the exit of the last corner. The impact was so hard that the even when airborne for a second before landing hard on the suspension.

Fortunately, the driver seemed to be fine, although, it would have given the team a massive headache to fix. The crash also popped a tyre off its rim, while the Thai driver was sent to the medical centre for precautionary checks.
Alex Albon was cleared of serious injury, but will start Saturday behind his rivals, with Toro Rosso mired in the midfield fight.
