Amidst all the preparations of the Delhi Ranji team, a new surprise unfolded here on Wednesday. The Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) named Ajay Jadeja as the new coach of the Delhi Ranji state team. Although the preparations of the team for the upcoming season are being doubted, this step has come in as a breath of fresh air. It all took place in a late night meeting on Tuesday, where the DDCA staff decided to do away with all the presumptions and select the former Indian batsman as the new coach.
Along with Jadeja, the names of the three selectors were also proposed by the nominees appointed by the Delhi government to oversee matters related to the DDCA. The three nominees were Parvesh Verma, Sunil Yadav and Rajan Tewari and the three selectors that were named were Vinay Lamba, Rahul Sanghvi and Hari Gidwani. DDCA Vice-President CK Khanna told that, “The resolution has been approved by almost all the 24 directors which was proposed by the government nominees. The concerned people will soon get down to work. We expect Jadeja and the selectors at the nets on Thursday.”
Ajay Jadeja seems to be a good choice for the team owing to the vast experience that the right-handed batsman possesses. Hopefully, the team will learn a lot from the senior ex-Indian player.
