Cyberpunk 2077 is probably the most hyped and the most anticipated game of 2020. The game was announced almost 8 years ago and is on the verge of release. Although, constant delays and false promises by CDPR have turned its love affair with the fans sour. Not only were fans frustrated by it, but were also disappointed considering they have waited for 7+ years.

The latest delay was because the developers wanted to release the next-gen versions of the game along with the versions for other platforms as well. Now, in a bid to maybe do some damage control, CDPR has unveiled new footage for the game captured on Xbox Series X and Xbox One X.

Special Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay footage revealed for Xbox Series X and One X

The gameplay footage shown is part of a Night City Wire Special episode. The actual Night City Wire Episode 5 is scheduled for November 19.

In the special gameplay footage, the distinction between the Series X and One X quality is evident. The textures in the Series X version is far smoother than the One X version. This was anticipated considering there is a substantial hardware difference between the two consoles.

Additionally, it seems the gameplay footage shown is based on the events after the game’s braindance sequence. Keanu Reeves a.k.a. Johnny Silverhand also makes a brief appearance in this as he speculates that the braindance parlor girl may be lying.

The scene then shifts to a lounge where V has to fight her way out of it by killing a few thugs. (V was a female in the gameplay footage). Next, it shows that V is supposedly captured and is being experimented on in some manner. Nevertheless, there was hardly any connection between the footage shown which made it hard to understand what was going on.

This gameplay footage does instill hope amongst fans. The game has already been delayed 4 times now and is all set to release on December 10. CDPR also reassured the fans about sticking to this release date by changing their Twitter cover image. Furthermore, more details will possibly be revealed at the upcoming Night City Wire Episode as well. CDPR will definitely have something amazing planned for the fans in order to do some kind of damage control.
