Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has already started planning for his future away from the Etihad by buying a new training ground facility for his former club Independiente. The striker sensationally claimed a few weeks ago that he would leave City at the end of his contract to return to his boyhood club in Argentina.

Although there is quite a lot of time before Aguero’s contract with City expires, which is at the end of the 2018-19 season. The striker though clearly has a big place in his heart for Independiente and has reportedly spent millions to help the club buy a new training ground where he will soon train as well.

City are hoping that their star player would commit his future to the Manchester iutfit beyond 2019 but this will prove to be somewhat a setback to their approaches. Aguero was quoted as saying:

“Independiente fans know I will retire from football playing for them. It’s so nice to help your club.”

The striker openly announced his return to Argentina in the future but it has still not been confirmed by the club officials. Nonetheless, this gesture of his was duly recognised with the club president saying:

“It is so important for us. He will be recognised for the rest of Independiente history.”
