After a strategic content deal with Travis Scott, PlayStation has shown off its affiliation with another superstar. Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan joins the list of celebrities that Sony has roped in for its marketing campaign for the next-gen PlayStation 5.

PlayStation recently shared a video featuring Jordan where he talked about his and almost every other kid’s journey growing up with a Playstation. Moreover, he also talked about how he has always been a fan of Sony consoles.

I’m expecting the world, okay? I’ve been waiting seven years for this. It’s a lot of fond memories.”

Jordan talked about how the PlayStation was his constant companion during childhood. He said that he had waited for his parents to buy him a PlayStation and was very excited when it arrived.

He also shared a story about how he would play Resident Evil with his sister. It was Michael’s favorite game growing up, and he admitted that he used to switch off the lights to make an ambient environment that was fit to play Resident Evil.

MJB started off by playing Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on the PS5. He instantly fell in love with the performance of the console and absolutely loved the adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller. It was evident that Jordan was well immersed in the game, as he could be seen moving and dodging bullets.

Micheal felt like he had revisited his childhood as soon as he held the PS5 controller. He couldn’t keep it down once he had picked up and simply couldn’t pull his eyes away from the screen.

And just like most PlayStation fans, Michael admitted that he was really looking forward to playing Miles Morales on the console.

If you could see inside your head, if you could believe something is possible, then it could be done, it could be achieved. Your imagination is key and just because it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t be done.”

This was the inspirational message Michael shared at the end of the video. He aimed to capture the goal behind the PS5 with this message. If this is how hooked MJB was to the PS5, it’s going to be one hell of a ride for fans.
