It has definitely been a busy day for NBA fans after Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving made headlines. The $90 million star has requested a trade, opting out of the Nets. According to NBA analyst Shams Charania, Irving has preferred to move out of the Nets by February 9 or will eventually leave in July with free agency. This was a shocker, not just for the fans, but also for NBA veteran and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins.?

Perkins previously today, had ripped the 6’2″ guard, for ruining MJ Day (2/3/23). Although later, the former Boston Celtics star made a bold prediction on a possible trade that might stun the league.

February 3, known as Michael Jordan Day, is when media and fans pay tribute to the NBA legend for his impeccable career. Kendrick Perkins had his reports ready for MJ Day. However, with Irving dropping the hot news, Perkins had to change it. Perkins later went hard on the eight-time All-Star, mentioning,?“This is Kyrie Irving, a guy you cannot trust. This is supposed to be MJ Day, and we’re here dealing with Kyrie Irving again”.

Keeping in mind the intensity and skills of the 6’2″ guard, the Lakers might have to move their sixth man and veteran guard, Russell Westbrook. Though Westbrook has been efficient from the bench, averaging 15.7 points and 7.6 assists this season, the Lakers still seem to be struggling.?
