This preseason is not getting away without quite a bit of rumble. As the season drew near, the heat rose, and fights broke out at various camps. The Kelce brothers made headlines when both lost their cool and fights ensued. Travis Kelce, who was in the thick of the training camps, ran into, not one but two bitter bouts earlier this month. A few days into the training camp, Kelce got into a shoving match with cornerback Dicaprio Bootle. A few days later, in a fit of rage, Kelce after catching a pass in back in the end-zone let loose a punch at Jack Cochrane who ran to seize the ball a little late from the TE.

The big brother Jason followed the script when losing his cool during the Eagles’ practice session with the Colts, but had a change of heart not long after.

Tempers flared at the Tuesday joint practice session with the Eagles and Colts before they head for the preseason finale on Thursday. The hell broke loose when Jason Kelce took offense with Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin who kept knocking Eagles’ running back Kenneth Gainwell to the ground consecutively. As the rage got to him, Jason charged at Franklin and forcefully collided with him as a brawl broke out between the duo.  The practice session was shut down 13 minutes before its scheduled time.

When the tempers were calmed down, Kelce himself felt disappointed at his reaction. He called out his action at the press meet after the session, calling it a ‘cheap shot’.

“I want to reiterate that that’s not something that I should have done or should happen out there. It was a cheap shot.”Kelce owned. “I think tensions just got the better of me,” he further added.

The 27-year-old linebacker is all good, as he shrugged it off that the flareups are part of the game.

“When you have joint practices against other organizations, sometimes your speed ain’t their speed, People get offended. That’s life’’, said Franklin.

The linebacker is just disappointed that ‘OG’ did not meet his eyes, as he expressed that he could get a chance to lock gazes in the upcoming preseason finale on Thursday.

It’s unlikely that the duo will square off on Thursday as starters generally won’t participate in the final week of preseason. However, it just gave a spicy wrap-up to the showdown.
