When AEW superstar Chris Jericho is not wrestling, fans will find him on the mic performing with his band Fozzy. They have been active since 1999, making music and touring countries. Currently, Fozzy is in the UK for their 12-date ‘Save The World’ tour. A show on Friday was scheduled in Wales at the Swansea Sin City nightclub.

However, on Instagram, the venue informed the audience that Fozzy had canceled the show. In the post, the aforementioned venue said the band revealed the reason for the cancelation to be Chris Jericho’s health issues, which were non-COVID related.

Jericho’s bandmate said, “Chris was checked into the hospital by doctors, with a non-Covid related, treatable health issue. Regrettably, the show on Friday in Swansea is cancelled, and all tickets will be refunded. Will have updates on Saturday’s show in Nottingham and Sunday’s show in London as soon as possible”.

Fozzy performed a show in Bournemouth, England, and the tour would end in London. Hours before the news, Fozzy and Jericho were active on their social media accounts.

Wrestling Observer followed up on the news and said, “While he is sick, it’s not considered serious, and he may still be fine to perform on Saturday.”

In 2022, Fozzy will tour the US from March to May. The tickets are also on sale for the shows now.

Chris Jericho will not retire soon.

Chris Jericho is currently 51 years old and still wrestling regularly. While most wrestlers look to retire at such an age due to deteriorating physical health, Jericho is not done yet. The former World Champion has performed in the squared circle for three decades.

In an interview with Newsweek, he revealed he doesn’t feel like stepping away just yet. The veteran never put a clock on wrestling days and just went with the flow.

“I think a lot of times people always want to put a bow on everything, but it doesn’t work that way. I think part of the reason I’ve had such longevity is that I go with the flow and follow my heart. Did I ever expect to be 31 years on the job? I can’t say that I did, but I can’t say that I didn’t.”

When people ask him how long he will continue professional wrestling, he doesn’t know the answer.

“I don’t know. When I feel like I don’t want to do it anymore. I don’t feel that way right now.”
