This week’s AEW Dynamite featured some really different match-ups, ranging from a 10 man elimination match to a no-rules deathmatch.

One such particular match of Nick Gage vs Chris Jericho in the main event is in news for all the wrong reasons. The fast-food giant Domino’s Pizza issued a statement saying they might never advertise on AEW Dynamite.

The reason for such bold statements from Domino’s is that during the match-up between Chris Jericho and Nick Gage, there was a spot when Nick Gage grabbed a pizza cutter and sliced Jericho’s forehead leaving him in a bloody mess.

However, while Nick was using the cutter on Jericho’s forehead a screen split commercial of Domino’s aired in which a pizza is being sliced before going out.

After the commercial aired, Domino’s received a lot of backlashes because people speculated that the fast-food chain and AEW worked together for the pizza cutter spot.

Domino’s might never air a commercial on AEW Dynamite in future

According to Front Office Sports, Domino’s issued a statement saying that they did not know about the forehead slicing segment and were not involved in the forehead slicing segment whatsoever.

They further added that they might reconsider their sponsorship with AEW on TNT.

“We share the concerns expressed about this incident and the content of this TV-14 rated program and are assessing our advertisement presence on it going forward,” said Jenny Fouracre-Petko on behalf of Domino’s.

We know that the deathmatches have to be violent and uncomfortable watch at times but this unlucky coincidence might harm the public relations for both AEW and Domino’s.

The disagreement between Domino’s, and Tony Khan’s company has started a spiral of Tweets where people are weighing in their opinions on what happened.

A beer company Pabst Blue Ribbon came out in support of AEW saying that if Domino’s is pulling out their advertisements, then maybe they can take their spots.
