There are certain rivalries in the pro-wrestler industry that are always etched in the history books. The rivalry between The Undertaker, Kane; Randy Orton, John Cena, and WWE legends, Bret Hart and Owen Hart.

The two real-life brothers worked in WWE together and were arguably one of the most gifted wrestlers of all time. Sadly, Owen Hart lost his life in his 30s because of a horrific incident at a WWE PPV.

Former WWE champion and current AEW superstar CM Punk answered a fan’s question of what is the best match of the WWE Hall of Famer Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart throughout his career.

The current AEW superstar noted that the best match he witnessed of Bret Hart was against his own brother, Owen Hart, at the WrestleMania X PPV.

The match was so technically gifted that it almost brings tears to our eyes, seeing the emotions pour out through their moves.

The 18,065 fans in attendance witnessed one of the greatest singles matches of all time.

The real-life brothers’ feud started at the Survivor Series ’93, where Owen got eliminated because he was “distracted” by Bret.

Young Owen Hart got frustrated and wanted to step out of his elder brother’s shadow to prove to the world that he’s better.

Eventually, the two brothers met at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ where they put on a classic match.

After a series of grapples, suplexes, and punches, the emotions ran high in the match. Eventually, the younger Owen Hart defeated The Hitman and put on a splendid performance which is still immortal.

Eventually, this win proved enough for Owen to put him on the main event spot as a solo contender.

Owen Hart Tournament in AEW

AEW President announced in 2022 that he is organizing an Owen Hart Tournament along with Owen’s wife, Martha Hart, in order to honor the legacy of late Owen Hart.

The tournament will be for both men’s and women’s superstars of AEW.
