‘The Belt Collector’ Kenny Omega retained his AAA Mega Championship last night at AAA’s TripleMania XXIX in a hard-fought battle against Andrade el Idolo, who put Omega to test and almost grabbed Omega’s second title.

What was more interesting to see was the surprise entrance of the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, 72, who accompanied Andrade during his fight. Although Omega won the fight, he found himself caught between Andrade and Flair after the match.
Flair delivered his classic knife-edge chops to Kenny’s chest while the crowd was on their feet. However, in the post-fight interview, Omega destroyed Flair’s legacy by mocking him.
Kenny Omega mocks Ric Flair’s retirement match at WrestleMania 24
At the interview, Kenny referenced Flair’s retirement match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24; however, Omega talked about a particular spot in that match. Shawn was about to deliver his finisher ‘Sweet Chin Music’ but before hitting it he said, “I’m sorry, I love you” and hit Ric with his move before pinning him.
Kenny said, “You know, what would’ve been a better moment? If Ric Flair came into that ring and I popped [punch] him one on the face. I think the fans would’ve been so happy, they would’ve been cheering, “Kenny, Kenny, Kenny”. And Ric Flair would have come up [mimicking his crying], and I would say “I’m sorry Ric, I love you”, and then V-Trigger to the face.”
