WWE has been at the helm of pro wrestling for decades. This is all thanks to its Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. He has created something so unique and exciting that has captured the eyes of people worldwide.
But most fans think that WWE ruled out wrestling due to lack of opposition. However, this isn’t true. In the 90s, when wrestling was at its peak, WWE faced a legitimate rival in the form of WCW.
Many WWE superstars jumped ship to World Championship Wrestling, be it for a bigger paycheck, or for more popularity. Either way, it meant bad business for WWE and Vince McMahon.

As per data from Samba TV, All Elite Wrestling, which has been strengthened in recent months by recruiting big-name free talents who departed WWE, like as CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Cole, has seen the audience of flagship show AEW Dynamite rise while WWE Raw has seen a slump.
The repercussions from the Extreme Rules pay-per-view raised household viewing for Raw towards the end of September, and the annual WWE Draft edition of the show enhanced viewership even more on Oct. 4.
This is due to AEW’s growth in the crucial-to-advertisers 18-49 demographic. When analyzing the lead television shows for both promotions, Raw held a significant advantage over AEW in the demo for much of August.

Should Vince McMahon be concerned by All Elite Wrestling?
Per the VIP+’s unique survey of followers of both campaigns, each promotion has its own set of advantages. WWE is more suited for youngsters, a major target demographic for WWE, and has superior storylines, whereas Khan’s AEW is seen to have better television matches, crowd responses, and just aspects of being most thrilling.

AEW is not at the level WCW way, as of yet, but that does not mean Khan’s company isn’t showing signs of becoming one. Whilst WWE can bank on a larger total population to attend its shows, McMahon and his network partnerships, who paid a large premium to WWE for wrestling supremacy on TV, will be concerned that AEW has been able to bring in previous WWE stars and dramatically enhance its viewership.
